Butterfly Bliss Thank You Card

Hello this is Nicky with you today and I’m sharing another card featuring the incredibly beautiful Butterly Bliss Die Set which formed part of the very recent release and which I’ve combined with older products from Alex Syberia Designs.  Read on for all the details.

I have used the following products to make this card:-

Butterfly Bliss Die Set

Postage Stamps Cover Die

Postage Stamps Stencil

Essential Sentiments Press Plate & Die

I took a pink cardstock panel and adhered it to my white card base.  Then I took a panel of white cardstock and die cut using the Postage Stamps Cover Die.  I layered the coordinating stencil over the die cut and ink blended in pale pink.  I then backed this panel with dimensional tape and applied to the card base.

I die cut the Butterfly Bliss wings from the same pink cardstock used for the background panel and then I took the dies and traced around them on heavyweight vellum and I fussy cut the wings.  I adhered the pink die cuts to the vellum parts and then filled most but not all of the decorative floral spaces with different colour die cut cardstock pieces.  The body of the butterfly was created from silver glitter cardstock and then I added the finished butterfly to the postage stamps background with foam tape.  I only added foam tape under the body so that the wings could really be teased upwards and the light gets in underneath.

To complete the card I chose the ‘Thank You’ sentiment that was created by hot foiling using the Essential Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set.  The beauty of this incredibly useful plate and die set is that you can spend a few minutes creating groups of sentiments in different colours and storing them for future use, it means you can just quickly grab the right sentiment with such ease.  I applied my sentiment with more dimensional tape and then this project was finished.

I appreciate you stopping by the blog today – happy crafting friends!

Nicky
