Birthday Hedgehugs

Hello, crafty friends and Happy New Year’s Eve!! I can’t believe that it’s the end of 2022!! I’ve been working on building my stock of birthday cards now that Christmas is over.  The Birthday Wonderland Stamp Set has so many adorable critters, I couldn’t decide which one to use first. Eventually, I decided on the cute hedgehog!!

I began by stamping the hedgehog, squirrel and trees from the Birthday Wonderland Stamp Set with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. “Birthday Hedgehugs”, from the same stamp set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with its Coordinating Die.

For the background, I masked off the top and bottom of a white A2 card base and blended Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks onto the center. Once that was dry, the die-cuts were popped up with foam tape.

The Celebrate Die was die-cut from black and white cardstock, layered and adhered together, then adhered under the ink-blended portion of the card.

I LOVE how this turned out and hope you do, as well!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy New Year!!

Brenda
