Alex Syberia Designs Fantasy Flowers

Hi card making friends.  It’s Sandi MacIver here and I’m excited to be sharing a New Card Making Video – Alex Syberia Designs Fantasy Flowers.  I was so honored to be asked to contribute as I LOVE Alex Syberia stamps and dies.  I’m a flower lover and it’s my favorite thing to color for cardmaking.  But, today, my flowers are all die cut using the New Fantasy Flowers Die Set along with the Large Thanks Die for the sentiments.

In today’s card making video I walk you through the making of the yellow and black card, sharing tips and tricks along the way.  Then, at the end of the video, I quickly show how to create the second card with a different bouquet of florals.

Large Thanks Die Set

Alex Syberia Designs Fantasy Flowers Card #1

Create a stenciled background using Simon Says Stamp Latte Ink and blending Brush.

Next, cut out the flowers in light and dark yellow:  Spellbinders Cardstock:  Saffron and Chamomile.  You need one large and 3 small.

Then cut out the black leaves and the sentiment three times in black.

Putting the card together:

Start as shown in the video gluing the flowers together.

Next, add the white dots to the flower centers with a Sakura Gelly Roll #10 white gel pen.

Then, adhere the flowers down the left side of the card using foam squares.

Finally, add the leaves.  Stack the sentiments and then attach at the bottom of the card.

Again, start by die cutting the flowers from colored cardstock.  Bazzill:  Mono Quartz, Princess Pink, and Pink Phlox.

Next, die cut the leaves, stems and three sentiments.

Then, glue the flowers together as shown in the video.

Finally, stack and glue the sentiments together.

Finishing Off the card:

Again, use the Sakura Gelly Roll #10 white gel pen to add the dots to the flower center.

Next, attach the flowers, leaves and stems down the left side of the card using foam squares and white liquid glue

Then, glue the sentiment to the bottom section of the card.

Thank you Laura, so glad you enjoyed it. It's fun to change up leaf colors from time to time, Navy and teal blue also look nice.

Your cards are BEAUTIFUL! I have this set. Never thought of using black card stock for the leaves. Stunning!
