Hi friends. The new December release by Alex Syberia Designs provides a glimpse of next season… SPRING! Pretty flowers, a delicate frame and lovely sentiment words offer a change from the holiday projects we’ve been sharing. We all love the Abstract Background Press Plate and now it is available in a stamp! I love that Alex has given us an option to press or stamp this beautiful design. Today, I’m sharing a 5″ X 7″ card that features the stamped version along with the following new products:
Abstract Background stamp set stamp and die bundle)
Abstract Background Stencil Set
Delicate Frame & Friend Die Set
My card measures 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 Envelope. The card base is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock.
To create this card, I used the Abstract Background stamp set and Abstract Background Stencil Set to create the contemporary background. I used Distress Oxide Ink to stencil the color including Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, and Mustard Seed. I used a blender brush to apply the color. I set it aside to dry. I turned the design to the side and attached it to the top of the 5″ X 7″ card base at the top. I cropped the design to 5″ Wide.
For the flowers, I used the Clematis Die Set for the the vine of flowers. I used yellows and a metallic gold center for the flowers and green for the vine of leaves. I attached them over the background. For the bottom edge, I die cut the frame from the Delicate Frame & Friend Die Set. I used the long edge of the frame for the bottom edge. I cut it from a medium green cardstock and a light aqua cardstock. I attached the green frame cut and added back in the light aqua scraps to make it a two-color border design.
I splattered ink over the card front and let it dry. Using the Hello & Hugs Die Set, I added “hugs” to the front. I attached it using foam tabs to make the sentiment stand out a bit more.
