A PASTEL SPRING MEADOW

Hey everybody this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I have a sweet pastel card to share with you that features exciting products from the brand new Spring Meadow Collection release which went live yesterday!

My card started with two white A2 panels of cardstock.  With one, I ran it through my die cutting machine using the beautiful new Spring Meadow Cover Die.  I then layered over the new Spring Meadow Stencil Set.  There are 4 stencils in the set and I used them in turn and ink blended.

I used the following inks for my ink blending palette.  Fresh Pink, Matcha, Powder Blue and Cornflower by The Stamp Market.  Also, Scattered Straw, Frayed Burlap, Mowed Lawn, Lost Shadow and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks.

I used some felt tip pens and a white gel pen to add some highlights  etc and then I backed this decorative with extra thick dimensional foam tape and applied it to the other white A2 panel I prepared earlier.  Lifting it up on extra thick foam tape really creates some drama and interest and the card feels very substantial which is important to me.

To complete the card I reached for the new Essential Sentiments Die Set and die cut the Best Wishes sentiment 3 times from sturdy white cardstock, glueing the words in stacks and then to the card.

A few self adhesive sparkling ‘fairy jewels’ completed the scene.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, I hope that you enjoyed my card and will shop the new release and create your own amazing projects.

Nicky
