A Card for Wedding Season

Hello friends. It’s summer and time for “I dos,” white dresses, floral bouquets, rings and more. It’s wedding season! My card today looks ready for a black tie event with black and white, gold trim and a couple of hearts, too. My card features the following Alex Syberia Designs products:

Classic Sentiments Press Plate and die

Charming Floral Background Press Plate

Pretty Bows Dies Set

Endless Hearts Die Set

My card measures 5″ X 7″ and is made from Neenah 80lb white cardstock.

To make this card, I used black Press Plate Ink to press the Charming Floral Background Press Plate design onto white cardstock. I also created the sentiment using the Classic Sentiments Press Plate and die. I love that I can create a number of sentiments using on press plate and one die! It’s awesome.

I also die cut a metallic bow from gold metallic cardstock along with 1/8″ strips of gold to detail the card. Using the Endless Hearts Die Set, I die cut a number of hearts and selected one larger and one smaller one for the card.

With all the items cut and ready, I assembled the card. I used foam dots to layer the sentiment over the hearts. I doubled up the bows and attached them, slightly offsetting them to make the bow fuller.

The gold 1/8″ strips embellish the card at the top, bottom and center seam. To complete the card, I added metallic gold pearl gem stickers to the larger heart to add a little extra to the card.
