A Bouquet of Happiness

Hi friends! I thought I better share these cute penguins before Spring is here! This card features several new products from the “From Our Hearts” release by Alex Syberia Designs. I’m using the following:

Heart Collage Die 

Penguin Love stamps and coordinating dies

This card measures 5″ X 7″ and was made from Neenah 80lb cardstock for the card base and a medium blue for the card front.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I splattered black watercolor paint over the blue card front. Next, I die cut and attached the Heart collage from white cardstock using the Heart Collage Die.  I took some of the heart cutouts from the collage and colored them in an ombre effect using Copic markers in shades of red and blue. I attached them back into the collage frame.  I stamped a cute phrase from the Penguin Love stamp set in black, below the collage frame and one in the upper, right corner heart, “sending hugs!”

I stamped, colored and die cut the three penguins and the mailbox, and attached them to the front of the collage using foam tabs. The penguins and accessories were colored using Copic Markers. I used 100 and shades of C, cool grays for the penguins and reds like R27, R17, R14, R22, and R20 for the hearts, mailboxes, etc.  The trio of penguins are so cute in this set.
