Hello crafty friends, I’m TaeEun from Rainbow in November ! I’m so excited and feeling honored to be guest designing on the Alex Syberia Designs blog today! I had the pleasure to be part of Alex Syberia Designs Kickstarter Campaign Blog and Instagram hops in last months. Today I want to share two more cards featuring some of the first physical collection of Alex Syberia Designs!
Life is Good
My first card is showcasing the Life is Good stamp and die sets and the Fancy Background stencil from the release. I love coloring floral images so I watercolored the beautiful floral cluster instead of using the coordinating layering stencil set.
To do no line coloring I stamped the Life is Good image in Antique Linen Distress ink and watercolored it. After done with coloring I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.
To create a background with texture I used the Fancy Background stencil. I applied white texture paste through the stencil on some white cardstock and sprinkled white glitter on it before it was dry.
After that I splattered light green and white ink on the panel. But I didn’t like the green splatters so I ended up covering the green dots with white opaque ink.
After the background panel was completely dry I trimmed it down to a smaller size than A2 and foam mounted it on a white cardbase.
Nexxt I cut the watercolored Life is Good image into two pieces and arranged them diagonally on the card. The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in dark green, cut using the coordinating die and added to the card with some foam tape.
To finish off I scattered a few clear iridescent sequins.
Create Your Own Happy
This card is one of a couple I made using the Create Your Own Happy set. The other one was shared at the second Instagram Hop of the Kickstarter Campaign.
Using this stamp set you can create your own arrangement so easily! I stamped the flowers and leaves in pink and in teal green as shown in the picture.
I cut a small rectangle from the center of the stamped panel and dry embossed the negative die cut frame using the Fancy cover die. I then adhered the frame flat on a white cardbase and added the central piece to the card with a hot pink mat using foam tape.
The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in black. The coordinating die set includes dies for some sentiments of the stamp set! Some pink rhinestones were my finishing touch for this card.
Thank you so much for looking my cards today! I hope I was able to inspire you!
