HELLO! ABSTRACT BACKGROUND PRESS PLATE CARD

Hello, this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I’m sharing a new card that I made featuring products from the latest release in combination with older products.

Here’s a list of links to what I have used:-

Abstract Background Press Plate

Abstract Background Stencil Set

Large Hello Die

Classic Foliage Diet Set

Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set

I used the Abstract Press Plate in my Glimmer machine, hot foiling it in a pretty peachy pink.  I then used the coordinating stencil and ink blended using Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks.

I used the Nesting die set to die cut the A2 panel with the faux stitched edge and I glued it to my card base.

I grabbed the Large Hello Die which comes with 2 pieces.  For the larger piece shown in white, I die cut sturdy white cardstock 4 times and glued them in a stack.  I then used the smaller die to die cut shimmering gold cardstock and I glued that to the white portion.

I used the Classic Foliage Die Set to die cut white cardstock and heavyweight vellum cardstock to produce a variety of leafy fronds.  I cinched those together in two groups and glued them down along with the ‘hello’ sentiment.  I added glue sparingly so that the fronds were secured just enough without flattening them as I wanted them to look dimensional and airy.

I felt at this point that the card needed a little sparkle and so I simply adhered 2 groups of 3 sparkling clear sequins to the fronds and with that this card was complete.

I appreciate you coming to the read the blog and I wish you a wonderful weekend – perhaps with some cardmaking thrown in!

Nicky
