Painting with Karin Markers | Winter Garden Card Panel

by Bonnie Crane

Hello everyone! It’s Bonnie here. I am excited to be up on Alex Syberia’s Blog today with a beautiful digital image, Winter Garden, from the February release.

There are so many benefits to working with digital stamps! One of the main reasons I love them is having the ability to resize the image.

I began this card by printing the image full size on an 8 1/2″ by 11″ piece of Bristol Smooth card stock and masking paper. The upper left hand corner was die cut with largest stitched rectangle from My Favorite Things’ Stitched Rectangles Stax 2 in a profile orientation. The lower right hand corner was also cut with this die to maintain the stitched detail. This corner panel was fussy cut along the floral edge. The full panel was masked and the background ink blended with Distress Oxide inks; Iced Spruce, Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke.
