Hey Crafty People!

It’s Tasha from HandmadeByTasha and I’m here with some inspiration for using embossing to add that extra something special to digital images.

I printed the Love Cookies Slimline Panel onto Neenah 80lb and I started by colouring it in with my Copic markers.

I didn’t spend any time adding shading to the icing because I knew that I would be covering it all with the lovely, lovely embossing! I hope you enjoy the video and you will consider adding embossed accents to your digital stamp creations!

If you haven’t checked out Alex’s new release yet then you are surely missing out! There are so many absolutely gorgeous designs and they are all available as pre sized panels; so they are super usable, even if you are completely new to digital stamps.

To get the beautiful sparkle & shine on the icing of each of the cookies, I used an embossing pen to add the sticky ink everywhere that I wanted the embossing to stick. I did this in stages to allow me to add a few different colours.

Powders I used: (All WOW Embossing Powders)
Fiesta Trio by Tracey Scott (Strawberry Daiquiri, Mai Tai & Mojito)
Halo by Catherine Pooler
Clear Gloss

Once I had covered all of the icing in glitter, I added two layers of clear embossing; this locks in all of that glitter and gives them a shiny Royal Icing style finish! I absolutely LOVE how they turned out!

I used the Tall Alpha die set from Altenew, to cut ‘Love You’ out of some holographic cardstock and I think that finishes this design perfectly! None of this card is subtle, and I absolutely LOVE it!!!

I’ll be back soon with more inspiration, but in the meantime, if you try this technique we would love to see it!
