Hello friends,
How is your week going?
Today I have four cards to share featuring the gorgeous Altenew Statement Flowers Set form their April Release.
I started working on my cards by using my Stamp Platform and stamping the images in clear embossing ink onto watercolor paper. I heat embossed them with Antique Gold Embossing Powder. I spritzed some water on my images. I then used several markers from Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers Tropical Fiesta Set and scribbled them randomly on the images. Then, again, I spritzed it generously with water. You can move around the pigment with a paintbrush if they are any uncovered areas. To achieve a great result let the images air dry. Once they are dry, you will end up with very bold and vibrant images. And each image will look unique.
Next, I fussy cut the flowers and assembled my cards.
My first card is a simple card. I kept the design minimal and added just black paint splatters from the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor Set on my white card base and glued just one flower.
For the sentiment, I made a white embossed on the black strip one from the Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set, which I popped onto the card.
Lastly I added some gold Altenew sequins.
If you have been following me for a while you know I love dark backgrounds. And for my next two cards, I used black card panels. And the card base for the first card I decided to make from a pink cardstock.
I added splatters of gold and white paint from The Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor Set on the black card panel. Next, I foam mounted the flower onto the card.
After that I white embossed a sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips 2 Set onto a black strip and popped it onto the card and added some gold sequins. I love how it turned out. I think it looks gorgeous!
To make the next card, I stamped the image in Clear Ink and then heat-embossed it in Antique Gold Embossing Powder.
I then glued the flower. Again, for the sentiment, I made a white embossed on the black strip one from the Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set, which I popped onto the card.
To finish, I adhered a few gold sequins.
My last card is my favorite. Who said that cards have to be flat?! You can give dimension to your creation by the use of foam tape. I wanted this card to have a mixed media feel with a lot of layers.
I made a card base out of beige cardstock and followed by adding black splatters onto the card. I glued down the die cuts, then started adding the flowers with foam tape. Once done, I splattered gold paint all over the bouquet.
I added white embossed sentiments and some black crystals to finish it off.
That’s it! It was so fun mixing these gorgeous flowers on these cards! I hope I could inspire you to start creating!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Happy crafting!

These are beyond stunning. I love the colors.
Wow! Absolutely gorgeous!
These are all stunning Alex! I love the colors you used, definitely bright and bold on both the light and dark backgrounds. Your fussy cutting ranks right up there with your watercoloring lol, you blow me away every time. My favorite is the next to the last card, I really like how you carried over the gold embossing onto the card base, just fabulous!! 🙂
