Release
There are lots of new fabulous products being released today, stamps, dies, stencil, sequins and all are now available for purchase at the Altenew online store!
Projects
I have seven projects to share today created using my favorite products from this release. Thank you to everyone who will be with me until the end of this post!
My first three cards are Clean and Simple cards.
ZIG ZAG Floral Stamp Set | Sentiment Stripes 2 Stamp Set
Zig Zag Floral Stamp Set features beautiful silhouette flowers and zig zag flowers, great for creating stylish compositions. For my first card I used two different pigment inks: Antique Gold and Enchanted Gold and inked each stamp with different shades of inks.
As a final touch I stamped a sentiment and added flower stamens with Black Obsidian Pigment Ink
For the second card, I used the same stamping technique. But this time I used four different inks: Caribbean Sky, Dew Drops, Aqualicious, and Teal Cave and inked each stamp with different shades of inks from lightest to darkest.
To finish the card off, I die cut the Altenew Tall Alpha Dies out of black cardstock to make “LOVE”.
Piles of Presents Stamp Set
My next Birthday CAS card was made with the Piles of Presents stamp set. This set is perfect for one-layer cards!
I stamped the images with Cherry Blossom ink family: Pink Diamond, Pincalicious, Rubellite. Also, I used Black Obsidian Pigment Ink, Antique Gold Pigment Ink and Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink. I love how these tiny gold bows look!
As a final touch I stamped my sentiment and added some gold sequins.
I’ve been in a watercoloring mood for a while now, so the rest of the projects are watercolor cards. My friend Amber gave me a stunning watercolor paper (probably you’ve already visited her blog) – Saunders Waterford High White Roughand And I wanted to use it! This is the superior quality watercolor paper. Its attractive surface is created using natural woolen felts that give it a distinctive random texture. And color pigments move beautifully. I love how these cards turned out!
Mega Bloom Stencil
The first card features the gorgeous Mega Bloom Stencil. There are many possibilities to use it, but I decided to make a watercolor card. I used the stencil and a pencil to draw the flower on the watercolor paper. I then watercolored it using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors. I then added some violet and gold splatters.
To finish the card off, I die cut the Altenew Tall Alpha Dies out of black cardstock to make “LOVE U”. I added gold sequins and a sentiment from the Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set.
Precious Blooms Stamp Set
My next card features the Precious Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped flowers and leaves on the watercolor paper with Black Obsidian Pigment Ink and watercolored them using Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors.
Next, I trimmed my panel and mounted it onto a kraft card base. I adhered a sentiment and added several Satin Gold sequins to finish off the card.
Statement Flowers Stamp Set | Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set
My last cards I created using the gorgeous flowers from the Statement Flowers Stamp Set.
I started these cards by stamping the images from the set in Altenew Caramel Toffe ink (for the first card) and in the Altenew Persian Blue Ink (for the second one) on the Saunders Waterford High White Roughand watercolor paper. I then watercolord the images with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors.
Next, once dry I fussy cut around the image to make my first card. I then stamped a sentiment and foam mounted the flowers to a kraft card base. I finished my card with gold sequins.
To make my second card I decided to use a creative approach. I wanted to make this card in a botanical art style.
I stamped “miss you” from the Sentiment Strips 2 Set and I tore the watercolor paper around the illustration and foam mounted the panel to a kraft card base.
