Projects
To celebrate the amazing year of 2019, I’m sharing my most favorite projects that I created in the course of the year with products from Altenew. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy looking back at 2019 with me. It was hard for me to pick out the top 4 since I created so many Altenew projects this year.
Garden Picks 3D Die
The first card in my top is this one here that features the gorgeous Altenew Garden Picks 3D Die set. This card I made at the beginning of the year and it is definitely one of my favorites. If you want to know more details of a particular card, just click HERE to go to the original post.
Baroque Motifs Stamp & Die Bundle | Beautiful Peony Stamp & Die Bundle.
The second card from my top was made by using Baroque Motifs Stamp Set , Baroque Motifs Die Set, Beautiful Peony Stamp Set and Beautiful Peony Die Set. I made a square card (5 1/2 * 5 1/2) using a mix of different elements from these sets. All the images are raised with foam tape to accentuate the volume.
It took a lot of time to make but I really love the result! You can find the original post HERE.
Wallpaper Art Stamp Set | Beautiful Peony Stamp Set
You know, I’m a big fan of dot coloring. For my next card I used Wallpaper Art Stamp Set from Altenew March release. I used masking technique. I colored the images with Kuretake Zig Art & Graphic Twin markers using my dot coloring technique.
Also, I have a video showing the process of dot coloring from start to finish. Watch the video below or on my Youtube channel. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it!
You can ee the full post featuring this card HERE. You will find a lot of dot coloring projects on Instagram: #dotcoloringwithalex
And the last of my top four for this year had all the chances to make the list. It features one of my favorites techniques – watercoloring. I combined flowers from Wallpaper Art Stamp Set and Beautiful Peony Stamp Set and watercolored the bouquet. I have a video of my process on my IGTV.
And I’d love to make several honorable mentions:
This card featuring Emboss Resist Technique. I made it using the Danity Bouquet Stamp Set from Altenew January Release.
I have a video showing the process from start to finish. Watch the video below or on my Youtube channel.
These cards featuring Wonderland Stamp Set and Altenew Beautiful Blossoms stamp set from the Altenew January Release. Click HERE to go to the original post.
It was such a great experience designing for Altenew this past year! So that is my #AltenewBest2019!

Oooo . . . these are all so beautiful!!
Like the background blending on that first card. The raised card is wonderful as well. The resist video was really helpful to understand the technique.
Wow the colors you chose just make these cards stand out. Just gorgeous!
Beautiful, beautiful cards for 2019! I just subscribed to your YouTube channel and look forward to seeing what you create in 2020.
Gorgeous cards- I enjoyed watching your videos again! I love the gold embossing on your first card- so pretty!
Such beautiful cards! Your Wallpaper Art cards are incredible! Thanks for the inspiration!
Such vivid colors on your cards. I love your Baroque Motifs Card!
I am really enjoying this look “back at 2019”. I am learning more about my favorite artists and gaining a new appreciation of some artists I hadn’t seen too much of yet. When there are a number of cards shown together that were made at different times, I can see an artist’s characteristics more easily. Your beautiful cards have a bold and rich color palette that speaks the word “joy”. I imagine you being extremely happy as you create these gorgeous cards. But then, what do I know – I can’t even draw a straight line!
So many gorgeous cards!
I always love your cards because they are unique. I love the mix of colors you use, the “dot” art technique that you have perfected, the various techniques that you use. Each card is so different and so pleasing.
These are so pretty. I like your choice of colors.
Your color theory is perfection!!!! Love the deep romantic tones all through!!
