I prefer living in color.
Hello, crafty friends! Happy to see you here! Today I have a quick post featuring a watercolored card using Wallpaper Art Stamp Set by Altenew.
I started by stamping flowers on watercolor paper with Distress ink -Tumbled Glass. Then I used my all time favorite ZIG “Art and Graphic Twin” markers and Winsor & Newton watercolors to watercolor.
I popped a part of a sentiment white embossed on black onto the card, and the other part stamped down in black to the card panel. I added several sequins to finish it off.

I admire your cards on Instagram and I’m so glad to have found your blog too. I’m now hopping over to your youtube channel to hopefully see how you add all these gorgeous colours on your flowers. You’re a true artist Alex! Thanks for sharing your awesome creation over at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour challenge and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful cards. Hugs, Gwendolyn
Simply stunning and so beautiful and colourful. Thanks so much for sharing with us at HLS this month.
LOVE!!
Aww 🙂 Thank you so much, Laura!
This is beautiful Alex!! I love the colors and the style, your coloring always amazes me. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
Thank you so much dear Mindy! I’m happy you like it 🙂
Fabulous color!
Thank you,Jen!
I absolutely love this card. And I am exceedingly puzzled. I see no black ink outlining the flowers at all! The stamp set you used has very solid centers in The flowers which would also appear black. How did you pull off this stunning card with no black appearing??
Thank you so much for your comment, Annie. I made a typo (I’ve corrected it). I wrote this blog post late at night.. LOL 🙂 Of course, I didn’t use black ink. I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper with Distress Ink – Tumbled Glass and watercolored them. This color is good for the “no-line” coloring. After my watercoloring was done I added some highlights with a white pen and a silver marker 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous Alex. The colors are beautiful!!
Thank you so much,Lisa!
