Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m very honored to be participating in the Altenew’s 5th anniversary blog hop. You should have arrived from Lilith Eeckels, but if not don’t worry there is a hop list at the bottom of my post. You may consider starting from the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog. Join us today on a fun blog hop celebrating Altenew’s birthday with tons of inspiration and lots of giveaways! There are four days of hopping along, so make you check the Altenew Card Blog each day to get your daily dose of inspiration.

In 2016 when I saw a beautiful Vintage Roses layered stamp set I realized I had felt in love! I was so impressed and it became my very first floral stamp set. I’m always waiting for the new releases and love the feeling when I’m waiting to get new products and start creating my cards. I absolutely honored to be a part of this celebration! Happy 5th Anniversary, Altenew! Now it’s my turn to inspire you with several projects I created.

Projects

Today I decided to play with my favorite Wallpaper Art Stamp Set and Garden Picks 3D Die from the recent Altenew releases.

Wallpaper Art Stamp Set

Let’s start with the Wallpaper Art Stamp Set. This set also includes four sentiments perfect for various occasions.

Altenew-WallpaperArt-AlexSyberia-Day1I started to work on my card just like I always do – by stamping images in watercolor markers friendly ink on white cardstock. I colored the images using my dotted coloring technique (check out this and this post if you are new to my blog). To finish off the card I added gold sequins, I heat embossed a sentiment with white embossing powder and mounted it onto the panel. Also, I filmed a video for you (you can find it below) showing my process from start to finish. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it!

Garden Picks 3D Die | One Die set – three cards

I made three cards using Garden Picks 3D Die. Here is my first card.

Altenew-Garden-Picks-3d-die-AlexSyberia-Day1To create flowers and leaves I first  die-cut layers of the flowers and leaves out of white cardstock and then colored all layers with watercolor markers. I glued all layers together using liquid glue. I blended the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink through the Sunburst stencil onto a white panel.

Altenew-Garden-Picks-3d-roses-AlexSyberiaI then adhered the flowers and the leaves on top of my panel with foam tape and mounted my card onto grey card base. I decided to add Nuvo Glimmer Paste to the leaves for more interested look.

Altenew-Garden-Picks-roses-AlexSyberia-cardsTo finish off the card I heat embossed a sentiment from the Altenew Wonderland Stamp Set with white embossing powder and mounted it onto the panel. I added a few sparkling sequins.

Altenew-Garden-Picks-3d-roses-AlexSyberia-cardsThe next two cards are very simple to make and the result is amazing. I decided to use the negative die cut panels from my previous card to create these CAS cards.

altenew-cas-cards-die-cutting-alexsyberiaTo make the first card I added watercolor splatters on the white card base.

altenew-garden-pickes-roses-alexsyberiaI then stamped a sentiment from this set and glued my negative die cut piece onto the card base with 3d foam squares. I finished off the card with a few sequins.

Altenew-Garden-Picks-3d-CAScards-AlexSyberiaI did the same with the second card, but I didn’t use watercolors.

Great cards! I particularly liked the simple blue and white one using the negative leaf image. Everyone is speeding up their videos these days but, unfortunately, this one was just too fast. I got a headache trying to watch it and had to stop.

These cards are gorgeous! I love the liquid-y effect of the watercolour markers on your 3D flowers and how it contrasts with the sunburst stencil background. Beautiful
