Emboss Resist Technique I Dainty bouquet stamp set | Altenew

Hey, crafty friends!

I received a lot of feedback that you’d love to see a video about a good old technique like emboss resist. I had time and I immediately made a card and filmed the video with the process in detail.

You may have seen this card in this post.

I decided to repeat the design, just change the ink colors. This time I used Altenew inks in the following colors: Ocean Waves, Dusk, Desert Night, Mango Smoothie, Warm Sunshine. With the emboss resist technique, the goal is to emboss images onto a white or colored card stock then apply darker ink around the embossed image to make it stand out against the darker inks. The embossed images resist the ink, leaving a multi-layered appearance.

When embossing, I normally use a powder tool on my card stock before stamping. This helps to avoid specks of embossing powder from appearing where they are not wanted. On my card I did not do this. If you prefer a more crisp appearance, I highly recommend using a Powder Tool Adhesive Deactivator before stamping.

To make my card I used the Danity Bouquet Stamp Set and a sentiment from the Beautiful Blossoms set by Altenew.
