Baroque Motifs Stamp & Die Bundle | Beautiful Peony Stamp & Die Bundle.

Let’s start with these products:  Baroque Motifs Stamp Set , Baroque Motifs Die Set, Beautiful Peony Stamp Set and  Beautiful Peony Die Set.

My absolute favorite of this release is the Baroque Motifs Stamp Set ! I made 3 cards with it.

My first card is a simple one-layer card. This card was so easy to make. I stamped the image using  Hickory Smoke Distress Ink onto a white card base. I added some light pink color to the image using  Almond Pink Zig marker. I then stamped and colored  a bloom from the Beautiful Peony Stamp Set (used Zig markers in following colors: Almond Pink, Oatmeal and Light Brown) and die-cut it with the coordinating dies. I stamped a sentiment. I then adhered the flower onto the card base and finished off the card with Clear drops.

When I first saw the Baroque Motifs Stamp Set my first thought was – gold and black! It looks so gorgeous! I love black backgrounds.

So, here is my second card. I made a panel out of black cardstock and heat embossed images on the panel using the Antique Gold Embossing Powder. I also heat embossed a sentiment.

The next card is my favorite card. It took a long time to make it, but I’m happy how it turned out!

I stamped several baroque tendrils, the flowers, and leaves with Memento Ink and then cut them out with their coordinating dies. I then colored all the tendrils with English Lavender Zig Marker. The flowers and leaves I colored with Copic markers in the following colors: Y11, Y15, BG11, BG13, V12, V15.

After I was done, I connected them together with glue to create a card front. I then foam mounted all the glued elements onto a white square card base and cut out the excess. I added gold sequins to accentuate the card. This time I decided to stamp a sentiment on the inside.

Beautiful Peony Stamp & Die Bundle

I enjoy a bit of messy watercoloring as I don’t have to worry so much about depth and shadows. I started this card by stamping images from the Beautiful Peony Stamp Set in Hickory Smoke Distress ink on watercolor card panel and loosely watercoloring to get an abstract look. I used Kuretake Zig Art & Graphic Twin markers and Winsor&Newton watercolors.

I then stamped the outline images from the set in clear embossing ink, sprinkled with Antique Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.

To keep with the random, abstract look, I didn’t worry too much about how accurately the outlines of the leaves and flowers aligned with the painted versions.  I added the panel to a gray card base and popped up a sentiment, gold heat embossed on gray cardstock. As a final touch, I added a few sequins.

The next card is a long card. I stamped the images from the Beautiful Peony Stamp Set on watercolor paper using black waterproof ink.

I watercolored them with the Kuretake Zig Art & Graphic Twin markers. I adhered a white panel onto a gray card base. I mounted the images with foam tape and then stamped the sentiment. To finish off my card I added sequins.

Dotted Blooms Stamp & Die Bundle

When I first saw the Dotted Blooms Stamp & Die Bundle I thought about cherry blossoms – ‘sakura’, and then thoughts about Sumi-e Art came to my mind. ‘Sumi-e’ is a Japanese monochrome ink painting or “ink wash painting”. The origin of ‘Sumi-e’ paintings have roots in Chinese calligraphy. Traditionally, Sumi-e was painted only in varying shades of black and white. Modern ‘Sumi-e’ includes a wide range of colors and hues alongside the shades of black. This is very beautiful and unique. I love this amazing technique so much and I’d love to learn it someday.
So, It was my inspiration for the first card in this kit.

I stamped the flowers from the Dotted Blooms Stamp Set and colored them with Sugared Almond Pink Zig marker. I painted mountains with Zig Markers in the following colors: Warm Gray2, Gray and Black. I then stamped a sentiment from the set.

To make next two cards I stamped the images (for the branches I used: Memento black ink for the “blue” card and Caramel Toffee Altenew ink for the “green” card. For the flowers I used Altenew Pink Diamond ink).  I die cut them with the coordinating dies.

For the “blue” card I blended a panel with Altenew inks in the following colors: Ocean Waves, Dusk and Sea glass. I added gold and water splatters. I then glued the flowers onto the panel and stamped a sentiment.

For the “green” card I blended a panel with Altenew Sweet Leaf ink, added water splatters. I stamped extra branches onto the panel with Caramel Toffee Altenew ink and glued my colored images. I then stamped a sentiment.

As a final touch, I added a few gold accents using gold watercolor.

And finally, here is my last card. I stamped onto a card base the second layer of the flower using Soft Lilac and Lavander Fields Altenew inks . I then stamped a sentiment and added sequins.

Those are stunning cards. I love the Stay Beautiful card for it’s lush colours and artsy look. I love how you used the flourishes mixed with the blooms – it has such an over the top, glorious look, and I especially love the dotted blooms cards – that is my favourite of this release and I love how you used them!

Oh my goodness… Alex your cards make my heart quicken with their beauty. No exaggeration. I’m inspired! I really love them all. But the pairing of the Baroque with the Peonies… GASP! My word. I need both of those sets in my life now.

I love all of your cards and your color choices but I have to agree with you on using gold and black with the baroque motifs set. That combination is just made for that stamp set. TFS!
