Projects

I’ve made 11 cards to share with you. I’ll try to keep it short.  Grab a cuppa & enjoy!

Wonderland Stamp & Die Bundle

Let’s start with Wonderland Stamp & Die Bundle. How gorgeous are these flowers?! I had many ideas of using it and I stopped with 2 techniques: watercoloring and masking.

My first card is a bright watercolor card. The background is a watercolor wash. I stamped the flowers and added some gold splatters. I white heat embossed the images onto watercolor paper and quickly watercolored them with my all time favorite ZIG “Art and Graphic Twin” markers. I used the coordinating dies with the Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine to die cut the images. I arranged them over a long card and added my favorite Midnight Blue Crystals.

The second card I made using soft colors. I stamped the flowers. I then die cut a number of flowers from masking paper using the coordinating dies. I then adhered the mask die cuts on white paper panel and inked up the panel with Altenew inks: Rubellite, Pinkalicious, Pink Diamond and Mango Smoothie. I added gold and water splatters. I then carefully removed the masks and colored the flowers with my  Zig Markers. To finish off the card I stamped a sentiment.

I cannot wait to share more cards using this set (as time permits). 🙂

Garden Picks 3D Die

Garden Picks 3D Die is a floral layering die. It has 5 different flowers with 3-5 layers in each along with several leaves.

To create flowers I first blended watercolors onto a white card base, to create my own colored cardstock and then die-cut layers of the flowers out of it. I heat embossed the top layers with my favorite gold embossing powder. I did the same with leaves.

I made the background by blending Altenew Inks (Emerald and Lagoon) onto green card stock and adding some splatters with water and gold watercolor.

To finish off the card I heat embossed a sentiment from this set with white embossing powder and mounted it onto the panel. I love how it turned out!

Beautiful Blossoms Stamp Set

Beautiful Blossoms is one of my favorite sets from the release and I created three cards using it.

For my first two cards I stamped flowers and inked up the panels with Altenew inks. I then colored the flowers with Copic markers and popped up a sentiment.

For the “green” card I popped up a sentiment, gold heat embossed on black cardstock. To finish off my cards I added several sequins.

The next card I started by stamping the images onto green cardstock using clear inks and gold heat embossed. I colored the flowers with my colored pencils, I did very simple coloring with minimal layering and blending. I then stamped a sentiment in black ink onto a white cardstock stripe. I used thin foam adhesive and foam mounted the sentiment stripe onto the background and added some sequins.

Danity Bouquet Stamp & Die Bundle + Simply Friend Die

To create the first card I blended Altenew Mango Smoothie ink onto a card panel. I stamped the flowers from the set using Altenew inks in following colors: Peach Perfect, Forest Glades, Evergreen, Ruby Red and Grapevine. And die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped a sentiment. I then adhered all mentioned elements onto it and finished off the card with July Crystals.

The second card I made using a fun technique. Maybe someone knows the correct name of this? 🙂 To make a card you will need inks, a stamp and clear embossing powder/heat tool.

For my card I used Altenew inks in following colors: Rubellite, Pinkalicious, Razzleberry, Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake and Lagoon. I blended some light inks onto the panel. Then I stamped and clear heat embossed the flower. I ink blended all over again with the other ink color and repeated stamping and clear heat embossing the images. I then ink blended a third time, this time with more dark inks, and repeated stamping and clear heat embossing, overlapping images from previous stamped layers. Finally, I ink blended for the last time with the darkest colors. Between each stamping and ink blending routine, I applied my heat tool to ensure that all the ink was dry and used a Powder Tool Adhesive Deactivator as well so that the clear embossing powder would only stick to the next layer of stamped images.  After my panel was done I stamped a sentiment. To complete this card, I stamped the layers of the flower from the Dainty Bouquet Stamp Set and die cutting with the coordinating dies. I then adhered the image onto my card panel and adhered the card panel onto the gray card base. I hope you’ve been inspired to give this technique a try!

The next card I created using the Dainty Bouquet Stamp Set and Simply Friend Die. I stamped the images with Altenew Arctic ink and heat embossed some leaves with WOW White Pearl Powder. I then used the Simply Friend Die to create a negative die cut piece. I glued my negative die cut piece onto the card base and finished off the card with some July Crystals.

Magnolia Heart Stamp & Die Bundle

For my last two cards I used Magnolia Heart Stamp & Die Bundle. Now is the season of Valentine’s cardmaking, which usually means red or pink cards in their majority. But today I want to share my designs using non-traditional colors.

I started by die cutting six hearts out of white cardstock using the Magnolia Heart Die. Then I gold embossed corresponding images onto the die cuts and colored with Zig Markers in following colors: Shadow Mauve and Sugared Almond Pink. For the first card I stamped the image onto white cardstock in a chaotic order using Altenew Arctic ink.

I foam mounted three hearts on my stamped card panel. I then stamped a sentiment and popped up it in the middle of the second heart and adhered the card panel onto the gray card base.

For the second I stamped the sentiment onto the gray card base and foam mounted three other hearts. I finished off my card with one clear drop in the middle of the composition.
