Hello, friends!
Welcome to Rubeena’s Crafting Anniversary 2-Day Blog Hop!
You should have arrived from Laura Bassen. If you lose your way, you can start at the Rubeena’s blog.
This hop is epic with more than 70 guests and over $1,000 in sponsored prizes! Not only are we celebrating four years since Rubeena first discovered cardmaking, but also crafting in general. This industry is made up of wonderful individuals who are creative, inspirational, kind, and incredibly supportive! Hop along so you can learn about why we create and how much joy it brings us!
In July 2018 I started this blog as a place to share my creations. I’m grateful to be a part of the wonderful cardmaking community. I have known Ruby for a few months and she became one of my favorite artist in the papercrafting community. She is so talented, kind and supportive! It’s an honor to be part of Rubeena’s Crafting Anniversary Blog Hop to celebrate her crafting journey and all what we love.
Projects
I have something special prepared for this occasion. I came up with an idea to make special “Hugs” cards. Rubeena loves floral cards ( just like me 🙂 ), so I decided to create the cards using my “dotted” coloring technique. I thought it’d be great to continue to create my series of cards with my all time favorite flowers. I love to combine stamp sets and create unique scenes.
A couple months ago I showed my floral cards here and on IG. I got a lot of feedbacks from my followers about my coloring technique. Many people asked me how I did that and I asked myself „how am I going to explain this?“ 🙂 The better way is to make a video and show you my coloring process.
So, here is my first video I ever made! 🙂
A detailed process of the card you can watch here in HD or at my YouTube channel.
I started my cards by stamping the bears. Next, I fussy cut masks and stamped flowers and leaves using these masks. After blending was done, I colored the images with ZIG “Art and Graphic Twin” markers.
I adhered the finished panel to a card base and made some touches of Wink of Stella brush tip marker to add some shimmer. Then I popped up a sentiment with foam tape and added sequins to make accent the scene.
I am sharing the card to the following challenge galleries:
