How To Make a Tropical Scene | Altenew | Krumspring Stamps

by Alex

I thought it’d be great to continue to create my series of cards with my all time favorite stamps. I love to combine stamp sets and create unique scenes. This time I came up with an idea to make a tropical forest at sunset.

I used “Hibiscus bouquet” set from Altenew and my oldie “Toucan” stamp. I started my card by stamping  the toucan. Next, I fussy cut masks and stamped flowers and leaves using these masks.

I left the masks for the stamped images and ink blended my card panel using Altenew inks: Peach Perfect and Mango Smoothie and Distress ink Squeezed Lemonade.

After blending was done, I colored the images using my dotted coloring technique with ZIG “Art and Graphic Twin” markers.

After that, I used my WRMK Crop a Dile Chomper to round the edges of the card panel and adhered the finished panel to a card base.

I made some touches of Wink of Stella brush pen to add some shimmer, perhaps you can’t see it very well in the photo. Then I popped up a sentiment with foam tape and added sequins to make accent the scene.

I liked how it turned out! What do you think?
